Where your wallet and recipient support it, you can try a small real payment before departure. A completed payment confirms that particular transaction. It does not guarantee acceptance at every merchant in China. Choose an amount to check current payment availability.
Is a test payment a real donation?
Yes. A payment through this site is a voluntary contribution to the named site operator. It is not a verification deposit or a charitable donation. Check the recipient, amount, currency, and donation terms before confirming in your wallet app. Reading the guides is free.
Will my international card work with every QR code?
Do not assume that it will. Availability depends on your wallet, card, recipient, and transaction. A personal receiving code and a merchant checkout can have different restrictions. Review the message in your app, and do not use a declined test as proof that all merchant payments will fail.
Do I need to share my card or passport here?
No. Never enter card numbers, payment passwords, passport details, or verification codes on Test My Alipay. Complete any required account verification inside your official wallet app.
Can I use this website on the same phone as my wallet?
Yes. When a receiving code is available, save it to your phone and use your wallet’s scan-from-album option if supported. You can also open this site on a second screen and scan from your wallet app. Review the recipient and amount before paying.
